Crowded - Custom Quilt

This listing is for one handmade lap quilt. The pictured quilt top will be sandwiched (top, batting, backing) and hand quilted. You choose the backing, binding, and stitching (thread) colors. I can customize a quilt label for you, if desired.

If you’re not into customizing - I can help. I’ll choose a cozy backing and color-coordinating thread and binding and will finish it in the same vein as you see. You’ll be happy.

This quilt top was started in 2023 and finished in 2024, while my children made forts out of blankets and cushions over winter break, and while I contemplated lines from Stephen King’s Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption (“Get busy living or get busy dying” - the only way out is through). It was completed in somewhat of an improvisational fashion: this color next to that one, not that color next to this one.

When putting something beautiful into the world, I think: what will you bring to it? Where will you put it, what will you do with it, how will you use it? It’s your turn to make the decisions.

Quilt measures 49” square.
